My work in the past few months has resulted in this kind of mining of my childhood. I kept coming back to this kind of Disney-like high drama scenes in the forest. Someone is hiding, running from someone else, or having a meeting, gathering around something bright. These images are carefully composed to evoke empathy, wonder, compassion. The scenes from animations I saw as a kid have really stuck with me and maybe made me a more mystical person in general.
