When I was three I made my mom call me peter pan for a few weeks.
I found these images of the original Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. These scenes are so beautiful. I plan to maybe use one or more of the compositions for a painting I'm about to start.
These are some of the themes or feelings I want to explore with my paintings- high drama, victims, hiding, meeting places, secret spaces. All these things come up again and again in children's fantasy and have a great impact on the way we play as children and personally, all these narratives made being alone really scary.
